Carry On In The Block.....

Since I have put my Block layouts in the 'gallery', I should perhaps explain what it was all about.

It was a competition organised by UKScrappers, based on the principles of Big Brother. We auditioned.... here is my audition layout:

Then we submitted work for subsequent rounds based on challenges given to us by The Management - a sinister character with a mean side!

This was my favourite layout that I did during the comp...

We were nominated, voted upon and evicted throughout the competition, culminating in the Final last week.

I was lucky to be through to the final, in some great company of scrappers. Clare was the deserved winner of the competition, winning a Craft Robo and a stockpile of Bazzill that I am soooooooo jealous of! Not that I need any more of the damn stuff anyway! I swear... its an addiction.

Anyway - My final round LO:

I was really pleased with it. Its a gorgeous photo of Thomas, the journalling is more 'deep' than I usually do and the handcut dingbats looked really effective. And that - is what is important!

OK, so Mr Camera-shy himself, has grudgingly approved his photo in the Holidays and Jolly Days gallery. What he doesn't know (until he reads this) is that I am now sending the link to this blog to Janet over in Canada. She has been itching to see what he looks like since the beginning...

TheChap is certainly not used to me and my camera weilding....

Holiday in 5 days now, and a horrible amount to fit in. Class preparation for the UK Scrappers Cyber Crop, two classes for ScrapManic, as well as work, packing, tidying, gardening and shopping.

Maybe I should get up and make make the most of them....

A new beginning....

Well, it seems like a wise thing to do - with friends all over the country and the world, and generally whizzing all over the shop, here is me. Static for once.

I will blether about a random variety of things, some will be of interest, and some will have you spinning that mousewheel like no-ones business before boredom kicks in.

Oh... and why "Carry On Scrapping"?

1) Carry On films are amongst the best things in the world
2) I should really do more scrapping
3) It sounded good
