I have been very tardy about my blog. But in my defence - it has been a frantic few weeks.
Got back from the ever marvellous Scrap Manic weekend last night. Lets round the weekend up in a neat pile of stats...
- Miles driven: 320
- Lessons taught: 2
- Hours sleep: 8
- Gin and tonics: Enough
- Cups of tea: My resting state is clutching a mug, so I lose count.
- Hugs received and given: Countless
- NewBestFriend: 1
- Fab new photos of me: 12
- Laughs: Super computers are still working this out.
Scrap Manic is the best scrapping weekend I am aware of. The luxurious surroundings, the excellent company and the relaxed atmosphere is just fantastic. I feel truly priviledged to teach there.
The classes I taught were as follows - "The Sensory Experience". This was a five sided star book, with each page dedicated to one of the five senses. To enhance the whole class, we had chocolate, flowers, scented candles and music. A very relaxing start to the weekend. Everyone left the class with a starbook just needing to be decorated. Well done ladies! Here is the project:
The second class I taught was first thing in Sunday morning. Stealing Beauty was based on the premise of taking inspiration and designs from patterned paper and using it to suit. Everyone did so well! It was a really peaceful class and everyone worked so hard! There were two kits within the class kit. One project was harder and more fiddly. A couple of brave souls did the harder one and the results were fab. That's another load of converts ready to join Kirsty's Handcutting Cult....

Kit Two
Oh and - the added bonus to the weekend? Cheryl Johnson and her portable studio! Feel Good Photos really does make you feel good. Here is my chosen to be printed shot - I have another 11 on disc to come! Thanks SO much CJ. I genuinely love it...
Anyway! here's to the next ScrapManic!
