Right. Let me put this in some form of perspective for you all...
We don't want a long engagement. I am of the VERY strong belief that the longer you plan and arrange things, the bigger and more ridiculous it will all get.
We have a budget. We are paying for the wedding ourselves. So - we have decided to get married....... on the 29th December this year!
And guess what?! Aside from the dress, flowers and peripheral things - it's all arranged.
We are getting married at Portmeirion, North Wales. It has always been my most favourite place in the world. A faux Italianate village, perched on the edge of an estuary in Wales.
Family and friends have been told to keep the day/days clear, the Tudor Room has been booked for the ceremony, the menu has been selected, rooms in the village have been booked....
Oh and check out the suite we have booked for us!
This was the very room that Noël Coward stayed in when he was writing Blithe Spirit.
Anyway... suffice to say - we are INCREDIBLY excited about it all - and now everything is booked and arranged, I don't have to worry about a thing! And I can get to doing a Florida trip summary.... I haven't forgotten!
